Located in lovely Sabastopol California, Viva Mexicana has been creating authentic Mexican food since 1986. We started out as just a little to-go place, and we still do a lot of to-go orders. But now, we have a sweet place for you sit and grab a bite. A lot has changed since then but one thing that has stayed true is our commitment to our incredible menu. Many times we have wanted to shorten it but we have realized this is who we are. We want to please as many customers as we can so we strive to offer something for everyone. Don’t be afraid to try something new! Our mission is simple: COOK WITH LOVE, and they will come. Although we are far from perfect, we try to pass our love and joy to you through our food and happy disposition.

Using the freshest ingredients and as little oil as possible, Viva Mex strives to offer a wide variety of California’s bounty of fruits and vegetables to create a unique and flavorful product, cooked fresh daily. We “go organic” wherever possible, and our award-winning Mexican food is upscale and exotic, at an affordable price. Meat lovers, Vegans, and Vegetarians will all find something they love! We offer many delicious vegetarian and vegan options, and carnivores will be delighted with our fresh succulent meats, which are antibiotic free. Our organic brown rice, Spanish rice, and our three kinds of beans are cooked without lard, using minimal oil; just like the rest of our food.
